Additional cast members include Elizabeth Marvel, Robert Wisdom, Ariana Guerra, June Carryl, and Alain Uy.” All 10 episodes of “Helstrom” will premiere on Hulu on Friday, October 16 ....

Those suspects include characters played by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr....

Still, after three recitations of a tender friendship between one bullied 12-year-old and his vampire neighbor who only looks like an adolescent, further retellings demanded significant change — and Showtime’s new series of the same name, “Let the Right One In,” makes plenty of changes. For one, the oft-enigmatic father figure of previous entries is given sharp definition, as Demián Bichir fills his character’s ample spotlight. Accordingly, the “kids’” friendship is but one of many relationships developed in showrunner Andrew Hinderaker’s series, which gives greater prominence to the parent-child dynamic through six initial episodes....

Variety reported on Tuesday that the duo are among the show’s voice cast, which will also include Lucy DeVito, Danny’s daughter and a fellow actor. Per FXX’s logline, the show follows a reluctant mother (Plaza) 13 years after being impregnated by Devil (Danny DeVito). Grady and Ewing are the directors of Showtime’s new true crime documentary, “Love Fraud.” The four-part series follows a group of women conned by one man, Richard Scott Smith, and the “revenge squad” that forms to take him down. Grady and Ewing have created a filmography aimed at looking beneath the veneer, starting with their 2006 documentary, “Jesus Camp.” In the case of “Love Fraud,” the two wanted to look at the world of double lives, and initially, they set out to tell a story about someone with multiple families....

As far as first impressions go, this one is pretty terrible. But here’s the thing: First impressions are built on assumptions. Maybe this guy is inconsiderate, or maybe that was the only place he’s allowed to smoke. Maybe his advice tilted into mansplaining (to a demoralizing degree), but it could also be true and straight from the heart. Maybe his offer to talk reads as inappropriate, or maybe he’s just networking at a networking event....

(For anyone hoping that such a specific setting would inspire interesting locations, you’re out of luck....

Jordan Peele’s third film “Nope,” following his Oscar-winning 2018 directorial debut “Get Out” and 2019’s “Us,” finally seemed to reveal its plot in the latest trailer. After haunting teasers and much debate over what exactly “Nope” means, the summary of the film has been unveiled ahead of its July 22 theatrical release. Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as brother-sister duo James and Jill Haywood, who run Hollywood’s only Black-owned horse ranch....

Last year the internet went wild when the first images of actors Lily James and Sebastian Stan, recreating the famous photo of Pamela Anderson biting then-husband Tommy Lee’s nipple ring, dropped on the internet. Audiences were gobsmacked by how much the actors, particularly James, looked like the real people. For James, her dedication to portraying Anderson accurately was paramount. In a previous IndieWire interview she talked about donning a blonde wig to walk around Hollywood to see how people would react....

Netflix’s mystery thriller “Pieces of Her” stars Bella Heathcote as Andy Oliver, who is saved during a seemingly random act of violence by her mother Laura (Toni Collette), who seems remarkably adept at eliminating violent threats. Her actions lead Andy to investigate her mother’s mysterious past. Based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times–bestselling novel and helmed by producers of “Big Little Lies” and “The Undoing,” the upcoming series “Pieces of Her” premieres March 4 on Netflix....

Upsets are the name of the game for this category with several different critics coming in with different winners. But the ceremony dropped the name of Adult Swim series “Rick and Morty” as winner of Best Animated Program, securing its second win. The series won its first Emmy award in 2018. Cult classics like “Rick and Morty,” as well as the Fox series “Bob’s Burgers,” are long-running and are regularly cited for their writing and humor....

With a flashy period aesthetic that can only be described as Wes Anderson-lite and a played-out insider Hollywood plot, “See How They Run” packs a lot of characters into a thin story that leaves little room for the considerable talent to stand out. It may be inspired by the greatest mystery writer of all time, but it’s an uninspired copy at best. As our smooth-talking narrator and primary murder victim, hot-shot American movie director Leo Köpernick (Adrien Brody) sets expectations low....

After longtime cast members Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney parted ways with the sketch comedy series earlier this year, “SNL” has now confirmed that Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor, and Aristotle Athari will not be returning for the upcoming season. Moffat, who frequently plays Eric Trump on the series, joined the cast for Season 42 as a featured player from 2016 through 2018. He was brought on as a full-time cast member in 2018....

Fans who eagerly consumed Weil’s Nazi revenge series “Hunters” last year are in for a shock; in lieu of violence and vengeance, Weil substitutes a hefty dose of depression, drama, and trauma that, in a way, might make you feel numb the same way one did with “Hunters.” The tone is set the minute we meet Anne Hathaway’s Leah (pronounced like Leia, which I’m assuming was to avoid copyright infringement....

During his July 25 appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the “Stranger Things” actor revealed he was “held up” by immigration while entering New York.
