The original “Blade Runner,” an adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?,” was not initially appreciated by critics but later became known as a science fiction classic. The sequel, “Blade Runner 2049,” which saw Harrison Ford reprising his role and Ryan Gosling joining the franchise, breathed new life into the series.
